| Roundtable Discussion: WHO’s Intrinsic Capacity (p. 65) | |
| “The new vision of the World Health Organization for ageing was articulated in 2015 in the World report on ageing and health (2). This moved the organization from thinking about health in older age as the presence or absence of disease, and encouraged us instead to look more at an older person’s functional ability (FA). It also strongly endorsed the need for countries not only to cater more effectively for the needs of older people but also to provide their health services and care in a more integrated way.” | |
