IMMEDIATE (crisis mitigation) SHORT TERM (adaptive as new knowledge arises) MEDIUM/LONG TERM (systemic resilience building for the future)

ACTION 1:

  • Action: Establish a local communications lead.
  • Actor: Trusted local scientist, someone with local media, religious leader, trusted health care individual, government official

ACTION 1:

  • Action: Establish a two-way communication channel with the public using tailored messages on reimplementation of nonpharmaceutical interventions and any uncertainties around the new vaccine.

ACTION 1:

  • Action: Build and fund a communication council made up of diverse members of the community; all have various roles of service in the community Strategic efforts to build policy and health literacy.
