This is the sixth meeting of the Strategic Council on Research Excellence, Integrity, and Trust. During the public session, the council will host a panel discussion on retractions. Retractions and the correction of the scientific record are important for research excellence, integrity, and trust. This panel brings together experts from different domains of the research/publishing enterprise to discuss ways to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the retraction process.

This is the third meeting of the Strategic Council on Research Excellence, Integrity, and Trust. Over the course of two days, the Strategic Council will host four panel discussions to address key challenges to research ethics, integrity, and trustworthiness. The Strategic Council will host three panelists to discuss ways to improve the experience of early career researchers in science, engineering, and medicine. The panelists provide a variety of perspectives including an early career researcher as well as those who conduct policy and research on this topic.
