A Standing Committee for the Review of the Dietary Reference Intakes Framework
Since 1994, the U.S. and Canada have co-sponsored the development and publication of a harmonized set of nutrient-based Dietary Reference Intake values. Over time, a need for a standing committee to address over-arching issues related to DRI concepts to facilitate a consistent approach for reviewing and setting DRIs has developed. The standing committee’s work will inform new DRI reviews for macronutrients, future DRI reviews for other nutrients, and DRI-related issues more broadly, including their application.
