Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) are transforming society, education, research, and the translation of research to policy and practice. In many respects, the field of food and nutrition is a late adopter of AI and ML but offers the possibility of addressing the complex interactions among foods, nutritional status, and health behaviors. This meeting of experts will explore the current knowledge and future options for the use of AI, ML, and deep learning in accelerating the use of scientific evidence in food and nutrition practice, policy, and guidance.
