Report Release Webinar on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 3:30pm ET

How might the United States realize the full potential of AMO science? What are the most compelling scientific questions in AMO for the next decade?

Discoveries in Atomic, Molecular, and Optical (AMO) physics have transformed human society over the past few decades, from medical technologies such as MRI to the lasers in consumer electronics. Over the next decade, AMO science will play a pivotal role in new advances in astrophysics and the development of quantum information technologies. The National Academies' Decadal Assessment of Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Science will be releasing its report on December 11, 2019. The report discusses the importance of AMO research, identifies critical future research directions, and makes recommendations on AMO funding and workforce. We invite you to participate in our upcoming report release webinar on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 3:30pm ET, where members of the committee will discuss the key findings and recommendations in the report and take questions from the audience.
