The onset and progress of the COVID-19 pandemic presented unprecedented challenges. The NCHRP Domestic Scan 21-01: Lessons of Agency Resilience During Periods of Disruption documented how agencies explored shifts in how they conduct business and adapt culture in response to evolving workforce priorities. As state departments of transportation (DOTs) face challenges now and in the future, examples from this scan could contribute to strategic planning efforts and assist in future-proofing organizations. TRB hosted a webinar on Wednesday, March 20, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM Eastern that provided useful strategies for agencies to prepare and respond to future disruptions.
This webinar was sponsored by TRB’s National Cooperative Highway Research Program and the Standing Technical Committees on Information and Knowledge Management and Strategic Management.
The slides are linked in the meeting materials. View the recorded webinar below.
